Putting the spacers on first might make it easier to climb under the truck to install the sliders. Really doesn't matter which you do first but lift is always more fun!

Don't pay anyone to install your lift, you can do a spacer lift easy, all you need is a good socket set and some spring compressors from Auto Zone, they rent them, or take them to a shop to have them taken apart(less money if any) and then install it yourself. Save some money and gain some experiacne, just my .02. I wish I had installed my first lift and not payed for it.

Sorry I don't live anywhere near you or I would be there and we could have that thing done and in the air in one afternoon. You don't need air tools or power tools, I've done 2 spacer lifts and one spindel lift(friends Ranger) w/ none of those, just hand tools and plenty of elbow greese. You'll be fine, don't be intimidated by the work, you can do it by yourself, or one other person would be enough. Just enjoy, leave yourself some downtime just in case and learn all you can, good luck I hope some people jump on your other thread and offer you some help.

Do the lift first, it'll be easier to support your body. It took me about an hour to do my lift.

I would have recommended to do the sliders first, because with the lift, you'll have to buy a new taller floor jack to be able to raise the body high enough to install the pucks.

But Bruce does know a lot more than I do, so I could be wrong.

well the sliders went on monday, looks sweet, many thankx to Richards @ stubbs welding, the lift (cornfeds 2.5" spacers) are going on this weekend, HOPEFULLY, but do you all have any hints, tips or tricks to make this easy for the beginner ? i would very much appreciate any tips, as ive never done anything like this, but my brother in law has, so wish me (us) luck.

Get a shop to compress the springs and remove the shocks from the front. I used the spring compressors from AutoZone(rental) and it scared the crap out of me, I actually bent one getting enough compression to get the shock loose enough. These things are huge so bending one is a big deal. Get a shop with a wall mounted unit to do it for you, they should do it cheep or free depending on what kind of person he is. Shouldn't take them more than 15min for both. Good luck man, post pics when she's up in the air.
