Simple Cross-Member for Automatic 2nd Gen?

So, my rear main is leaking oil and to replace it I need to drop the tranny/x-fer and of course, the cross member. Now is as good a time as any to replace it with something tougher.

I want it to be a simple install and all it needs to do is be tough, be low profile and hold my automatic tranny and x-fer up. I don't need a multiple case version or one that requires a lot of tweaking like FRORs.

What are my options? Budbuilt?

With the V6/auto Budbuilt is the only option I have found....and at $300.00 it is no bargain.

Maybe we can talk Bud into a group buy??

Budbuilt one is pretty awesome though, mine bolted right in, NO issues (other than the expected OH rust of course). The bolts are more of the M12-1.25x30mm that replace the studs on the CV's, and hold the brake calipers on.

Be sure to get a new tranny mount/rubber pad thingy.

$300 is a lot, but it seems to be a high quality product...

TC, whats with the rubber pad, mine seems just fine, was yours dry rotted or something?

It may look OK, but when you get it out, you'll probably see the pads have shifted. It's super easy to replace while the crossmember is out and they're not that expensive, so I'd just do it for convenience and to be safe.
