I am about to get my rear lifted back to stock, maybe an inch or 2 higher depending on the springs, but i was wondering if buying new springs was the best option, i have seen two: some from eibach, and some from performance products...the other option i was told about and was cheaper, was airbags...how reliable are they?

any input would greatly help, i plan on buying the fix with my next paycheck,...two weeks away... thanks!

I'm really happy with this setup -- so far!

 

Downey HD coils, they are perfect for lifting the saggy butt on the 2nd gen 4runners, they are $160 from www.central4wd.com . I don't think many, if any, on this board have used the eibachs, and not many for the Perf. products either. Most recomend OME (Old Man Emu), or the Downey 1.5" HD for the 2nd gens.

Hey, hill -- I really like your 2 door. When I moved from a Bronco to my 4Runner, I would have bought a 2 door if I could have found one.

Regarding tires, I have backed off making a decision anytime soon. The Long Trails have plenty of tread left, and even though they definitely do NOT look gnarly, they aren't costing me anything, $$$ being a little tight right now. They have great on road manners and are the best rain tire I've had on any Jeep/Bronco/Toyota. I'll probably try to get another 6 months to a year out of them. That being said, I'm going to go either with BFG A/Ts if I decide to put trail capability and looks first, or with Revos if I decide to keep up the on road manners. I think I've read every tire thread on here, and probably the Revos would be plenty capable for the off roading I do. But the BFGs look so cool! and would be even better if I went up to 32s. Whatever I do I'll post pics.

sweet..... im thinking of 32" BFG AT's or stick with the Hankook, its been a really good tire for me.

I put progressive rate rear coils from NAPA on my 94. It set it up about 1" over stock.
