Rock Lights
I did a search but I couldnt find anything conclusive about them.
Could everyone answer these couple of questions
1) What do you think of them
2) What type do you have (link if you can)
3) How well do they work

1) What do you think of them
I think they're neat-o.
2) What type do you have (link if you can)
Some fancy neon tube lights I got off ebay for cheap.
3) How well do they work?
I've not had the chance to really use them wheeling at night yet, but just from testing them out they seem like they'll do the job nicely and help me/spotters see rocks and obstacles better.

I have tractor lights.
They are great and cheap.
If you are going to really use them, the three key lighting places are in front of the front tires, behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires.
When the current round of fixing is done I hope to add LED ropes instead of these for a BLING factor. You can get ones to pulse with the ghetto bass and that makes me laugh.

Two sets, six 55w "tractor" lights for the real lighting duties and some fancy, low-draw L.E.D. jobbies for all night/around camp use.
Tractor lights:

L.E.D. "disco" lights

I use the ALL the time.

Now that you've said this, I'm gonna be real disappointed if, when I wheel with you, your rig doesn't beat and flash a disco party at night. BLING BLING!
I'm missing on the front of my front tires. I've got two extra light tubes ready to go, but I'm sorta waiting till I get my winch and front end "finalized" before I put that tube on. Maybe one in the rear too.

A couple of old threads to browse through...

I babble about mine towards the bottom fo the 2nd page of the first thread. There're pictures there too with colors.
I like to think that I'm responsible for Rob (WATRD) getting his disco lights since I had them first out here.
I think they're fine for general night driving and a boatload of fun in camp, but they're kinda' dark for really _navigating_ at night. But they're also a bit fragile. I've broken one tube by bouncing off of "something", and I have my tubes mounted above the sliders.

im running 2 sets of the $13/pair fog lights from walmart, it was just gonna be temporary before a trip, but i really like the way they work, think im gonna get one more set to put under there. you can see they do a pretty good job of lighting the trail, when im crawling, i dont even need my headlights half the time.

exactly, they dont break the bank which is the best part. i know i have a couple pairs of tractor worklights somewhere out in one of the barns, but i havent really looked yet. my plan is to mount some of them between my sliders and frame, and move one set of the walmart lights to the back for a little extra reverse light, or behind me rock lights.

nuther vote for the tractor lights...
I use two under the front bumper on the axle, two aimed down from the cage on the front tires, two in front of the rear axle, one from the back of the rear bumper shining on the rear axle.
similar to these:
