Do any of you know if

or what ever offers rebuilt 22RE motor that are not over priced.

I still need a motor

Most general auto parts stores rebuilds are junk, you'll get a better motor if you talk to a local shop or do most of the work yourself.

For a quality rebuilt motor, try engnbldr .
Even though he's in Oregon, you'll probably still beat out most other prices after shipping.
Give him and email and see what he has to offer.
Very nice guy and knows his stuff.

I got my re-built from the Toy dealer and it is crap !! I think the co. they got it from was called ATK. Not very good quality it has had valve / lifter knocking since day one and will not go away, I've adjusted them 6 times in one year. Called ATK and they said it is normal.

The 22 is a noisy engine, when the valvetrain is adjusted to factory specs it clatters a bit. But yes, ATK rebuilds have been proven to be of poor quality.

Try Jaspers. They are supposed to be the best. They have a 3 year/75k mile warranty. Only one better is ATK and they are junk. Besides, you can order the motor the way you want from Jaspers. They are on the web and have a great website. They have dealers(distributors) all over the country. Check them out and see what happens.
