I made my packs out of Isuzu rears for the rear of my yota and then took a 3" lift pack apart for the front. I used the bottom three of the Isuzu pack and bolted them to the top two of my rear yota pack. I think I netted about inch and half to two inchs. The only reason Im telling you this is I think youll have better luck getting lift from a spring under vehicle. They have more arch to begin with.

You can mix/match springs and easily get 3" of lift from a rear up front. My buddy runs rears upfront right now and he's getting 3-4" of lift abouts. Works really well to (ie flex's great)

I went with 3" TG springs, and I sit about the same height as his rig and flex just as well but his springs were free lol

I am running RUF right now.

I combined springs from a 79 pickup and an 88 Runner. With my 5" front shackles I have netted ~ 3-4" of lift.
Perfect height for what I wanted.

The trick in your case is to cut them to the right length... Trial and error basically

Biggest issue is that the front leaves are essentially flat, very little arch to them, so you won't get much flex from them unless you have them re-arched at a spring shop.

Heres my front pack top to bottom

1- stock rear main leaf

3- stock rear main leaf cut to fit
4- stock rear second leaf cut to fit
5- overload (to keep from "w-ing" them over)

Sits like this

So i wonder if i have a small lift then? Should i be clearing 35's with just a TG 5.0in shackle. Also do you have to get a new spring hanger or can you use the stock ones?

i know this thread is a few months old but i was searching about ruf, so to you first gen pickups or anyone that knows a few questions, my front stock springs are sagging really bad and i was also looking for a little lift for now till i can really do what i want with the suspension. so what all did you have to modify to fit the rears up front on our first gen pickups? and how do they ride?
thanks in advance. and i appreciate any feed back!
