lockers in front V.S rear

not queit sure how to start this question. i had the stock i.f.s under my truck a year ago. with tru-tracs front and rear. since then i have sas my 91 yota and took the v6 third member out of the rear axle and but it into my solid axle and put a complete new 3rd member with detroit locker in rear. my question is since the tru-trac was originally in the rear and now in the front it operating along with the ring and pinion "as if it were in reverse" i understand the ring and pinion being weaker in front because it runs on the coast side but does it affect the detroit at all. is it any weaker because of what i have done. they dont sell front and rear tru-tracs/lockers sererate or do they? thanks guys

So you're asking if the rear end with the Detroit is being affected by the front being a little weaker?

The answer to that is no. The front being weaker won't make the rear weaker.

If you can clarify a bit more maybe we can answer a bit better.

no no nothing to do with the rear. i swapped out the whole rear third member tru trac and gears and bolted it in the front. just curious if with now the tru-trac being up front does the whole tru-trac become weaker. if i were to order a new locker or other traction aid and start all over agian would i have to specify wether or not the detroit is going in rear or front.?

never heard of anyone ordering a locker that was specific to the front.
