rear and solid axle lifts?

Possibly picking up a super clean 88 4runner and i have some questions regarding suspension in the rear and lifting the front. Typing on a tablet so bare with me

Read around and theres apparently an issue with the 1g 4runners drooping in the back because of toyota using the same springs. How true is this?
And how is it remedied?
Extra leaf I'm guessing

When i get around to getting a solid axle put in in the winter (not by me) im assuming id have to buy a front lift specifically for an 85 solid axle toyota. if someone could clarify that thatd be awesome

When lifting the rear (if i can find a standalone rear kit) would a hilux/pickup kit work?
I seen a site recommend using 1 inch bigger springs for use in 4runners. The kit was for 78-88 pickups and 90-95 4runners and i'm thrown off because i thought they had the same suspension that supposedly caused the drooping issue and theres no mention of 1g 4runners. I can post kit if needed. Just dont wanna make mods mad if it isnt allowed

Trying to get my ducks in a row for my soon to be blank canvas so clarification and explanatoon would be super. Thanks.

Yes the rear droop. You can add a leaf or zuk mod for a quick fix, but the best way to solve is with new springs. You can use 86-88 rear pickup springs. After 88 the pickups go to 51" inch springs instead of 48".

Many companies make a kit to help you put the solid axle under the truck. Assuming your using a toyota axle.

Youll need some other things too, such as a drive shaft and matching gear set.

Depending on your wheeling style, you could just do 4" bracket lift, or some ball joint spacers.

Old Man Emu makes great replacement springs. TGs kit require you to move the hanger. If you plan to match the height of the sas, youll probably end up moving the hanger for longer springs.

As for the last one, 78-88 pickups and 90-95 runners use VERY DIFFERENT rear suspensions. The 78-88 use leafs and 90-95 runners use a 5 link with coil springs. Drooping is an issue with all old toyotas..

Read around in the build up sections and Solid axle swap sections. Lots of good information out there.

Excellent! Thanks. Would that 78/88 kit work on my truck though?

Yes, the 78-88 kit should work with your truck. Got a link?
