I have Rancho's (RS5000) on my Jeep and they used to have a Lifetime warranty. I don't know if they still do. I had one leak after 80k miles and they replaced it free. I took the other 3 in after that and told the salesman at the offroad shop they were worn out (so I'd have 4 new one's) and they charged $5 each to replace them. I think it was shipping back to Rancho. I beat them up pretty good and only one leaked a little. They still road and controlled the vehicle great!

I am considering putting them on my 2000 4Runner!

considering the 220 dollar set of 4 9000X 9 way adjustable. bout to go cross country and back so adjustable will be nice, and from what i hear warrentying them is relativly painless . im currently wheeling every day in my 4R, but by the time i get the shocks itll be a lot less untill i get back to the west coast again.

Oookay... That brings me to another question. Whenever I see someone has written "teh", I think they just messed up the word "the". What does teh mean?

Oh yeah, and to keep this post somewhere close to the main topic, I'll ask this question:

What is it about Ranchos that people don't like? The adjustable Ranchos seem like they might be a cool shock. When I put the Tundra springs on this month I'm going with the OMEs that bamachem recommends, but I am curious to the reasons why Ranchos are not as popular. There, this post is not back on topic!

i had rancho 5000s on my 4runner and the ride was terrible. not firm in a good way, jarring was more like it.

my edelbrocks, which have only been on for a few weeks now, are a 2000% improvement. ok, i can't quantify that, but they have made a world of difference. i hear a lot of similar reviews of the bilsteins and OME shocks as well.

personally I'd go with OME comfort shocks. When i switched to Bilstein HD, ride was controlled but got harsh.

I have had my rancho 9000s on the back of 4runner for at least 2 1/2 years and have zero complaints they were a lot better than stock. As for the other two, i have not tried but was thinking of buying some OME to see what the difference is and to see if the OME is longer than my ranchos. I have never used a set of bilsteins but the people who use them love them so i think it is just a matter of preference.

What does this mean?

not to be mean but come on just because everybody here has it does not mean it is the best. You dont always have to follow the leader here, try something different maybe you will find the better solution for everyone to imitate.

found them from a good seller on ebay ( hotrodoffroad is the seller name 225 feedbacks, 100% positive, and recomended by another yotatecher earliar in this post)

and found them for 225 on 4x4rockshop.com ( http://www.4x4rockshop.com/Scripts/p...idproduct=2011 )

both offer free shipping, but i think that 4 for price of 3 deal ends 4/30/05

I have the OME springs and struts but haven't put them on yet. On my 99 I currently have bils with the stock springs, has anyone run OME springs with the bils shocks? How is the ride, is it better with the OME shocks?

ill agree.. for the price normaly i wouldnt be buying a set of em.. but for that price im putting em on all 4 corners of my 4R. price is right.. warrenty works.. quality to price ratio at this price ($220 for 9 way adjustable RS9000X) is deffinetly doable.

without this deal i would be going for OME, or FabTech

I am currently replacing my front shocks, Rancho 9000's with Bilstein 5100's.
I'm leaving the rears with the Rancho 9's, but only after a year and nine months the front shock bushings are totally shot.
I would never ever get Ranchos again, big disappointment.
