I think it is possible, but on the trails, in ultra low or w/e, your crawl ratio is gonna be huge and your breaks wont do anything

ditto, don't to the ultimate just do the doubler. I have heard with the ultimate the brake mounts ripping off.

Yes, but it's expensive. The only company that makes the adapter is Inchworm.

Whoa, with the auto and a doubler, you going to be able to idle up just about anything. That's going to be great.

Im running a 3.4 into the auto (a340f) into dual inchworms with 5:1 in the rear case. My crawl ratio is 186:1 before you factor in the touque converter. which probably puts my ratio at about 400-500:1. Its rediculous.

Before that I was running the same t-case setup behind an a340h and a 3.0. It isnt that expensive.

I do however beleive dual standard cases (2.28/2.28) is plenty for the auto. I just couldnt pass up this deal I got on these cases. (built by Jim at Inchworm for the UA '06, 5:1, clocked 10*, twin stick, chromoly output...)

Heres some videos of the cases...I never use low/low/low much Im usually just in 5:1. But this whas when I first the cases and I was playing around.

low/low/low
Sorry for going so slow but there was 40 with a poor PS pump limping through the trail.

low/low/low
Here if I was in 5:1 I would have made that with out the hesitation, but I had no momentum due to the low gears.

BTW, my brakes will hold it in low/low/low. It has problems holding it on the street and wont hold pointed down hil, but on the trail they hold everytime.

I think the nice setup is the one that 4rnr has. I mean a "F" tranny so you can use a standard V6 adapter.

I don't have duals but I've swapped my R150F for an A343F (Almost the same that the A340F) and I love it.

As bigt says the A343F came stock on the 3.0TD autos, Hilux Surfs and Prados. The transfer can be swapped, I put my mechanical T-Case behind the A343F.

For what I've seen on my swap, the A343F and the A340F look almost identical, maybe some ratio difference but I can't tell.

Hmm maybe its different in the US?

There are a lot of different configurations of the a3xx series. And typically the differences are bellhousings, TC's, ratios, valvebodies, and outputs.
