Raer Suspension question

Hello all,
So obviously I am a newb so forgive me for any repetitive questions posted.
I have an 88 SWB 5 spd and 22RE. I am running 33's. I got the truck last year and it came with 4 inch blocks in the back. I do know enough to know that they need to be gone. I like the ride height and may consider 35's at some point once I ditch the 4:10 for some more appropriate gears.
My question is this: What are the opinions on setting up the rear with the following goals- I need to be able to drive on the highway to my jumping off points. Nothing real extreme, lots of dirt roads but a fair amount of off road as well. I don't need insane flex but some travel would be nice while keeping some highway manners.
I am not familiar with the options yet beyond limited basic knowledge.
new springs? Springs and shackle combination? Shock options for either?

I have a shop with a gunsmith lathe, vertical mill, welder and plasma cutter and soon adding a CNC mill as well as plasmaCAM so fabrication is not a huge issue for associated parts.
The SAS will come as funds allow. It currently has is of course IFS.
Thanks for your thoughts and experience and patience with reading what has likely been posted 1000 times.

i'd say that some new leafs + shackle would be the best option. ZUK mod won't really work for the height you're going to, it's really just a bandaid solution for saggy-butt instead of actually replacing parts. doesn't have to be brand new leafs, but could also be a custom spring pack - really depends on your needs.

i would suggest measuring your current height from center of your axles to bottom of the fenders, and start looking through builds on the resulting height of their suspension mods. for example, you could choose a 4" lift Trail Gear leafs, but they won't exactly end up at 4".

Thanks for the replies! I want to keep the 4" it has now and have been looking at leaf options today. I appreciate the info.
