Question about tight drive shaft clearance
Got a 4.3/700r4 swapped into my 94 pickup, dented the tranny pan to get the front drive shaft to clear. I clear it by 1/4" or less. Will this move and hit the pan when I hit bumps even though it is IFS?

The IFS front shaft will not move all that much as each end is somewhat fixed. You do have rubber bushings holding the front diff and the engine/transmission in place, so they will move around a bit due to torque. You could install a front diff. drop kit to get a bit of extra clearance if needed:

Thanks for the reply. I have dropped/rotated down the front diff already, I just hope the rubber mounts are not too forgiving. I priced a thinner shaft at $400 but I am hoping that my stock one works without smashing the tranny pan. Guess I'll runna for now.

You might try painting the shaft with some light colored paint and then check for any marking on the paint every so often. And possible to raise the engine/drivetrain if needed:
