Panhard Rod - Extend or Drop Bracket?

I'm gong to be putting on the LC coils and shocks in the next week and am not sure whether to have a drop bracket made or just have them extend a my current panhard rod (if that's even possible - not sure what it's made out of). Is one better than the other?

Drop is probably technically better, it's better to have the angle lower so as the bar swings, the end doesn't move side to side as much.

The rear of Molly's truck (stock links, LC coils, panhard drop) is flexy enough that the way the panhard makes the axle shift is a real problem. The truck is not as stable as it could be.

After driving hers and seeing Flygtenstein's in action, when I lift mine, it's getting a triangulated 4 link in the back. (But then, I already have the gas tank out of the way...)

See, I've heard this both ways. Dropping it doesn't allow as much side to side movement, so keep the axle centerd better.

Extending it lets you retain that same pivot location, so doesn't inhibit your axles articulation.

thoughts?

Ric, what rear lift do you have again? I've never had issues with mine either - but with the longer LC shocks I'm going to install - I don't wan't to have issues with the driveshaft hitting the gastank skid. I assume you've never had this issue?

I just put the LC's on today and all is good. I'm going to leave well enough alone. That way if I want to put it back it'll only take a couple hours. Of course I did do this for tow purposes. I think it's going to work well.
