Overheating

I have a 81 Yota, and I've been doing a lot of wheeling the past week and I noticed it's been getting really hot. Does anybody know of a good cooling setup?

The water pump is a year old, and the radiator is original but still holds water with a slight leak.

It's time to replace the radiator (cap, t-stat and hoses too if they have some years on them), IMHO.

I thought about running twin electric fans if I can find some that would fit, has anyone done that before and did it make a big improvement?

This x2. A stock cooling system should cool a 22r easy.

Red face

What you want to do is put a band aid on a bullet wound.

Get a new radiator and be done.Be glad it lasted this long.

Your radiator is blocked no doubt

x3 If it's a stock system it should handle a stock motor...it's designed to handle it. If it's not working repair or replace the failing item (s). Then if you wish to improve by all means if need be.
