Correction!!!

I got the OME diameter from a yotatech memeber, but I had also recieved and email from ARB/OME, this is what diameter they claim the bars are:

23.4mm diameter, compared to stock 22.6mm diameter

So OME is another level of torsion thickness to choose from, again we have:

Stock 22.8mm according to downey or 22.6mm according to OME
OME 23.4mm
Sway Away 25mm
Downey 26mm

What's rancho? we still need a 24 to fill in the gap.

The corrected post with ARB at 23.4mm is correct. I can tell you from my own experience....I have the Sway Way and I am running a ARB Winch Bar. The Sway Way is too stiff for my taste. I will be switching to the ARB 23.4 soon.

In my experience, with stock arms, 25 or 26mm is way way way too much, probably even so with a heavy bumper.

With long arms, 25 or 26 is good if you are doing fast stuff. The stock ones are not enough and 23.4 would yield a very flexy ride.

The downside of the OME torsion bars is that they rust easily in salt water environments.
Are the OME's painted? If they are then one way you could remedy the rusting is sand them down to bare metal and put 2 good coats of primer on them and a good rust preventative paint to cure that. Powder coating would be the optimum thing to do but I have no sources in the area for it.

When i got them they had a silver painted surface that looked like it would not rust easily. Well, it did. If you have ever installed torsion bars to your rig you understand why i'm not taking them off and painting them.
