New to rocks?
For the experienced rock guys with manual trans.
Do you use your e-brake a lot when going up rocky inclines?
I was going up a sent of cement steps (part of an aroyo) today and I found that it was nice to use the e-brake between stairs so I didn't fall back. I would assume that this is pretty normal.
Any feedback?

My e- brake will barely hold my truck still in the mall parking lot. It is worthless on any moderate or steep incline.
To prevent rolling backward, I have just about perfected a technique of using the right foot half on the brake pedal and half on the throttle while feathering the clutch to control forward thrust. The pedals are close enough to use the right foot on both without any real trouble.
Burried in my bag of unfinnished projects is a hand throttle made from a bicycle gear shifter. Its part of my ongoing A/C conversion to On-board air setup. A nice added advantage of a hand throttle is not having to use one foot on two pedals.
I doubt that answers the question. Sorry.
