New Project Truck!
Its not exactly a yota but its still pretty sweet. A couple buddys and me have just aquired a 1975 datsun 620 4x4. The truck is solid axle front and back and already has about 6-7 inches of lift with AAL's and shackles. The buildup starts tommorrow. Already pulled the blown chevy 350 and the tranny and Tcase and tripped the cab of everything but the dash. Tommorrow is sanding and rhinolining. This is going to be an amazing trial vehicle after we put in a new engine and modify a few components. Ill prolly post a bunch of questions here to see if anybody has any input. Pics will come soon.

THE PICS
after pulling engine and tranny with the hood off and stripping the inside and bed here is our basic starting pallet.
and a few flex pics with the 1975 shocks which do not move at all in any direction, and the sway bar still on.

UPDATE:
we found a blazer for 100 bucks with a running engine, aparently my friends pulled it into the driveway just as the entire drivetrain fell apart.
I was out of town but they started the engine swap without me, im assuming its a 350 which will do perfectly becasue the previous engine was a ford 351. I havent looked at it yet but once i get in there the swap will be finished then we can move onto the drivetrain and exhaust and cab and everything in between.
oh, and we bedlinered the entire bed and inside of the cab to prep it for lots of mud :-D
