front lift install problem

i was installing 2.5" spacers in the front of my 2000 4runner and the top shock nut is rusted and i couldnt risk ruining the shock because my truck cant sit on a lift at work. not to mention itll be a pita to get the spring and spacer to compress onto that old worn shock . so should i get tundra shocks? i can get a deal at toyota but im not sure if the stock spring works with it or what yr to get if it does work. any ideas?

heres a pic of the shock, i broke the top part where you are supposed to hold the shock from spinning.

Warm the nut up with a torch, it'll break free.

i dont think so i think they are too long. go over to ttora and buy some newer stock ones, or even stock tundra coilovers.
