My cheap lift idea

My cheap lift idea
Sorry for bothering you guys by asking a stupid question, but I tried serching and didn't find enough info. Anyways, I was thinking about adding rubber coil spacers that go in BETWEEN the coils of my 3rd gen. Its some cheap stuff I saw at the automotive shop that claims to add 1'' of lift when placed in between the coils. I want to put them in the front coils because of the sagging front end, and the 265/75's filling up the wheel wells.
If this is a bad idea, or it will destroy my coils, feel free to stop me. I just want a cheaper way of lifting my 3rd gen, without having to shell out $300 for "Real" coil spacers.
Thanks

They will pop out of the coils if you flex your front end at all.
Why not OME?

I think I know what you're talking about... They are two piece spring spacers...
I wouldnt do it.. Id just buy the "real" spacers. Get them from www.wheelersoffroad.com .. The Daystar ones aren't all that much.

Those will DESTROY your ride quality in the front! You are now riding on a solid block of rubber, not a "squishy" spring. My understanding is they do more for load support than "unloaded" lift - they keep the spring from compressing so much when loaded. I would go with balljoint spacers or the spring spacer cups mentioned above. Or Cornfed spacer blocks. Or a body lift. None are really all that expensive...
