Marlin or AllPro

Does anybody have any experience with either of these manufacturers? I am looking at getting their "entry level" springs, specifically AllPros SuperFlex springs or Marlin's Trail Flex kit. The reason I'm more inclinded to get AllPro's springs is so I don't have to weld up the new spring hangers. I've got a lot more to deal with (such as swapping transmissions) than that, and I feel both kits will offer equal performance. I've already made extended shock hoops for 12-14" stroke Bilsteins, so the springs will really be the limiting factor here.

Ive been brand loyal to marlin, but either are OK, but Ive heard better things about marlin, and his customer service, and his steering arms are billet, not cast like all pro's

Marlin is generaly prefered escpecially in the spring dept. The allpros are rumored to fatigue rapidly. However, both companys are the best.

Marlin sure has a good rep, but it's a hard call cause John Bundarant (sp?) is quite a god among Toyota Builders... I'm looking into Marlin stuff personaly, but they're both pretty badass companies... I have heard that cause of the extreme flex of the All-Pro springs that they sag out quicker... but hey, look at the All Pro 4Runner, that thing just WALKS over alot of really big obstacles... never seen any of Marlin's rigs in action, but I'd bet they're bloody amazing.

I guess I'm very partial to Marlin's stuff....... Was recently at his shop in Fresno and he has plenty of springs in stock. Got to see them work on several rig, on the Rubicon and used them on a build-up rig back in March, that rig performed flawlessly up "Wrecking Ball" in Johnson's Valley during the Tinbenders Jamboree.

Thanks for the input guys!

I'm just not sure how I feel about grinding off the old spring hangers and welding new ones on. I'm sure I can do it, but I'm not sure if its going to be entirely worth the effort if All Pro is very comparable in performance.

Is there any real benefit to the longer spring they offer (aside from the different spring rate)?

longer springs generally flex better compared to shorter, more steeply arched springs
