The Gxx5 diff carrier (LSD carrier) DOES looks like the Gxx4 (4 pinion, v6/turbo gear carrier) from the outside. You can see that it is a LSD by looking in the axle holes. See a grid pattern? That is one of the clutch disks for the LSD. See the center of the 4cross pin? It is an open 4 pinion diff.

You are right, 4pinion V6/Turbo carrier and the 4pinionLSD carrier do look the same in the pics, but that isn't one. Another way to tell is by where the gear mounting flange is. It is about .25 farther from the pinion on a supra Gxx5 LSD.

I kinda knew you would be dissapointed to find out you had the wrong lockright.
no big deal. In fact, the lockright install in the 4 pinion diffs is EASIER IMO than on the 2 pinion diffs. No need to pound out that cross pin retaining pin and remove the RING GEAR like on the 2 pinion carriers.

OK found a guy who will rebuild my diff with new Timken bearings, New YUKON 5.29's, trade my 4cyl Lock Right and install a 6 cyl Lock Right for $540.(including return shipping) Does that sound reasonable?
