Lifted 3rd Gen With Pics!

Before Picture:

After Pic With 265/70R 16's

After Pic With LT 265/75R 16's

I used the Daystar 2.5" spacer lift, Rancho RSX series shocks and Eldorado ZSR Sport tires. Complete, I spent about a grand doing the mods and as you can see, it looks great!

Wow, looks great. I didn't think that the upsize from 70 to 75 would make that much difference. From the pics, it sure makes it seem like the wheel well is filled out much more.

I think there's only about an inch and a half difference between the 70 and 75, but it did make a HUGE difference.

Man, that looks great! I have the *identical* truck and when I saw the after pics I decided 2.5" of lift was too much. With the larger tires, it just looks right now. Guess I need to reconsider lift sizes again...lol

By the way:
265/70R16 = 30.7 inches
265/75R16 = 31.8 inches
285/75R16 = 33.0 inches

All tires have slightly different measurements and the ones I just posted are for the Yokohama Geolandar AT+II.

If 2.5" is too much, you can't go wrong w/ the PP/Bilstein setup that many people run here. Total suspension lift is about 1 - 1 1/2".

I love my Geolander AT's BTW. I saw a set on a 3rd gen that were 275/75/16 MT's and they looked awesome. I'm thinking this maybe the next set as I don't want a BL to fit the 285's.

I'm running 265/75's on my 96 w/o a lift. I agree the 2.5" is more than I want 1"-1.5 MAX.

Let me know what you end up doing, Ken.

Actually I thought his looked great at 2.5", but I am shooting for right at a 2" lift. If I understand the 36 page thread correctly the Tundra coils and Tacoma shocks will provide 1.75" lift up front. Now I need a rear coil to match....perhaps the not-very-well-known OME 906???

I contemplated which height lift to go with also. Ultimately, I saw a pic in one of the forums here that help me decide on 2.5". My Runner can go through almost anything and sits noticably higher than stock. I parked beside an older 4wd Suburban and he sat about 1" higher than me is all! Love the mod both in looks and performance!
