***Leaf springs rubbing on drop drag link fix. Help!*
Toyota Hilux LN106 RHD.
I put old man emu 2" lift. Added adjustable drop drag link & adjustable torque rod..
Recently added a leaf to the front springs and 20mm shims under the springs as my front didn't lift at all after the OME suspension install. The drop drag link is now over top of and rubbing on the springs even before I put the u bolts on.
I flipped the ball on my J Arm. It looks like the stock drag link will work better than the drop now.
...I'm wondering if it's possible to flip the pitman arm as well and use the stock drag link. Or maybe I have to cut and re-weld/sleeve the stock drag link to suit the new length. Or maybe better to cut and re-weld/sleeve the stock turn the heads to suit the inverted ball and suit for length.
Thoughts?
Also, how do you know to find the length required of your drag link.? Thanks In advance
