How reliable are these lock rights? I was told they suck in the rear of the vehicle.

I dont know about in the rear, I went with a full detriot carrier in mine... I've had several friends run them in the rear of chevy 1/2 tons for years without ever a problem... i would imagine that a chevy would put more stress on them than a toyota, so i would assume they'd hold up fine. As far as in a front of a toyota, Will (seaflea) has been running one for several years without a problem.

there is an FAQ about lockers with lock rights covered extensively. i use a similar lunchbox locker in the rear of mine with no complaints, but seriously, read the FAQ

Front lockers are good... I installed mine about the same time as Cory. Pulled the 4.10 Detroit EZ 3rd out of my 85 Runner and dropped it in the front of my 88 pickup.

Can't wait to see Cory try it out in some mud

If you run some tight trails it's definitely wise to order a twinstick setup to go with an auto-locker up front. Not only will it mean less 10 point turns on the trail, but there'll be less stress on the steering components... I really noticed that I had to turn the wheel harder to maneuver on the trail.

Overall my assessment is the same as his... only I didn't get hung up on rocks.
