i hate rust that forms on old bolt threas, so i was wondering if anyone puts grease onto bolts before installing them.

antiseize is an option too but grease is thicker and could stay put better with multiple submersions.

I greased my shackle bolts and inside the nuts before installing them. Maybe a quick shot of spray paint could help with the rusty threads?? I'm from CO, we don't really have a rust problem
