Gear ratio

I have a 83 with stock gearing. Anybody know what the stock gear ratio is for this year?

Think its 4:10 or 4:88. Only way to know 100% for sure what's in it is to jack it up and do the gear ratio testhttp://www.ehow.com/how_5969377_dete...el.html#page=6

An old trick to see is jack your rear end up and mark your drive shaft and tire, have a friend turn the tire one full rotation and watch the drive shaft and see how many rotations it make during one tire spin... 4 spins and barley past the mark is 4.10 and so on.
