After careful consideration, I am thinking of going w/ Donahoe's coilovers.
Does anyone know if the Extended version will work (temporarily) w/ OEM control arms?
I realize that I would be defeating the purpose, but have maybe found a deal on some used CO's. This would only be until I can budget for some UCA's.

Any downside to running Donahoe's Coilovers?(other than cost)

As long as they don't go full extention too often you should be fine. what happens is the shocks extend down too far, which can cause upperball joint damage.

 

When new upper control arms are insatlled, will they be able to take the downtravel of the longer travel Coil overs?

Obviously the long travel coilovers wont be able to used too their full advantage with the stock suspension components (control arms and CV's)...but if they are priced reasonably, might as well get them if they dont cause any damage.

 

They are NIB and I think I can get them for $725.00 shipped.
Should I jump on them? I really don't want to get Wenzel-ed!

Are these the tall hoes or the ones that been run over with a steam roller?

I wouldn't even bother mounting them on. Wait until you get control arms.
