hope someone can lead me in the right direction

have dual cases 4.7 back 2.28 front (88 runner)

front case has been whining more and more then crunch rattle rattle last time i put it in. now even in 2wd it makes a clatter, i didnt drive that far was a concerning noise.

checking it out and i realized front case stays in neutral when stick is engaged.

whats going on here? thanks

 

I think you need to pull it and look inside. You can get seal kits for cheep. Both TG and MC have rebuild kits too.

 

well yes i know its internal, just seeing if anyone had ideas for what to look for. im dropping it out today

ha im about to crack one, its noon and its almost out. cracked the case apart and a snap ring fell out and the counter shaft is flopping the guy that put the duals cut a tiny hole in the body for the stick..so im cutting a bigger one. will post pics when its out. at least its not raining
