Unhappy drive shaft question

i have an 84 runner 4in rear and shackles, 3 in ft with shackles. i put a winch on the ft, and now am going to the 7in ft springs, should i take off the shackles in the ft to retain my stock driveshaft, or can i keep them and 3 link the rear? also will it sit level? i plan to go at least 35's with finder trim

No, not even close. Call up High Angle Drivelines, or Tom Woods. You will need a longer shaft with a long spline kit and u-joints. Maybe high angle u-joint$$$$.

***Im assuming you are a stick with a single case.

yes or you will buying another a shaft once you do. Plus it will be much easier to get the shaft to work in your skyscraper if you have duals

OR you can take you driveshaft to a welding shop and they will lengthen it for you for a small fee. Much cheaper route. Option number 2 is to build your own out of square tubing.

If thats all he does, he may bind, and will certainly pull the splines apart.

Your prolly right, I dont know anything about dual cases to be honest, hence the reason why i only have one now. 4rnr while your here i have a question for ya, i have chevy motor chevy tranny and yota T.case, should i stick with the yota T.case or switch to chevy also? If so which chevy T.case would be the best choice? Thanks. And im running yota axles with 40's if that helps any.

he will pull apart regardless of # of t-cases.

**Hijack**
The toy case will serve you well, it wont break, is light, common, and geared relatively low.

If you switch to domestic cases you could do a np205 (2:1) I know you spend alot of time in the mud, but if you want you can double them up with a np203 (203/205 doubler) They are cheap/strong/and common (i want to say you dont need any adapters to do it), but they are HEAVY, large, and arent geared quite as low, but I dont think you care about that.

If I were to go to a domestic case it would be the dana 300. Strongest factory t-case you can get and the only true twin stick factory case.

**End Hijack**
