Unhappy Downey Leaf Question

This is going to sound stupid, but does the (+) symbol go to the front, or to the rear? The instructions don't say. Flame on!

No idea, but the general rule of thumb that works is that the end with the military wrap goes to the frame hanger. If neither or both ends are mil-wrapped, then measure and set them up with the same (or close to the same) front eye to center pin distance as the old springs.

Nevermind, they sent me the wrong springs. I don't think I own an early 80's LC.
