Do i need to beef up my frame for winching

95 T4R, 3.0, 4x4, 5 spd. Mile marker sec8000 winch.

I have a 4xinnovations winch bumper on now. It has the "frame tie in plate". It only has 4 bolts on the front cross member and one bolt on each side mount. Is this enough for winching? I thought about fabbing a bracket that attaches to the 4 threaded holes under the frame and tie that into bumper. Am i over thinking this? Are 4 bolts on the front cross member enough? I am using grade 8.8 bolts.

If you weld that reinforcement brace to the front of your frame, ultimately unifying the left, right, and middles pieces of the frame, you should be able to hang that truck in a tree by the front bumper...

Have you talked with Adam??

I am sure he can tell you just what you need to do

To me one can`t have to many attachment points if your getting into some heavy duty recovery work.

I always make my own crossmember that attaches to where the front hook and tie downs are.

That was no help. When i emailed and called about fitment issues i was told it should bolt right up. I had to add 1" of steel to get the bumper out enough to mount the winch. When i emailed those pics.....no reply. Its a shame too cuz i WAS gonna buy his rear bumper.

I will prolly get the reinforcement plate from addicted and weld it on. Then bolt this all back up.
