discoverer stt?

Are these STT's or re-treads? http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pts/483417252.html I thought the stt was more of an mtr-like tread

I was thinking of picking them up as a temporary solution till I have the loot for a set of new tires.

The ones in the craigslist ad are the old style STT. The big pic you posted is the new design, and not a bad tire.

just get them in the d or e load rating, as those will wear down a lot slower than the c rated ones...

the tread compound is the same from load to load.

the new armor tech STT has a really soft compound, but the old style was supposed to last a pretty good while

I have a set of 33's on my 88 pickup and I had a set of 31 on my 95 4runner. They have never let me down. I have through snow mud,and everything in between. Plus I dont know what you are reading but they wear like steel. I have the new armor tech ones and they are amazing.
