Question Diamond Axles: Toyota vs Dana

Would a Toyota Diamond axle with gussets, Longfields, and cryo-treated R&P be as strong as a Dana 60 style Diamond Axle?

Ha, I though it was a question mark. Does anyone know? Or have an opinion?

areyou planning on rinning King of the Rocks? or dropping in a blown ZZ572??

if not, i think that the toyota axles would be plenty strong...

plus you keep your stock width, which is a plus on the trails...

As close as you're gonna get, with a TON more ground clearance.

If you're running <40's, the size of the 60 is a real killer.

I'm not planning on just completely romping on them, but I would like to run 39" tires behind a 1UZ-FE + R151F. Think they would hold up? Any chance with stock axles?

just run an fj80 axle with longs and call it done. the only reason i see for going d60 is the r&p and running deeper gears.

I would love to run an 1uzfe with r 5speed.

whose bell housing you going with?

That's a good idea...IDK why I didn't think of that haha.

A340F bellhousing to a 10 mm thick adapter plate. Sourced it from a guy in Oz for $20. I'll post the link to it when I get mine machined and working.

What do you mean by "Diamond style d60" Do you mean stock d-60 stuff in a diamond housing, or do you mean a blinged out chromo d-60.

I guess it doesnt matter because the answer to both is NO. The dana 60 is stronger.

I didn't say "Diamond style D60" I said "Dana 60 style Diamond Axle".

Iced out D60 would be pretty pimping though haha...

Yeah that's what I was thinking...You don't think they'd even be close? 'Cause I'd like to run somewhere around 39" tires...

39's are not big enough to justify the bigger pumpkin and loss of ground clearance from a D60 IMHO.
