Thats kind of what I was thinking. I don't do any psychotic crazy trail runs or rock crawling or anything. I think its a unique, cheaper way to acheive all the added traction I'll really need. Worse comes to worse, I'll lock the front.

Ah... I guess I can see it where it's flat. Around here you're likely to end up off some embankment upside down in the trees or a swamp if you end up off the road. I keep my truck in 2wd in snow and ice and just drive cautiously, and use my Detroit to my advantage.
