Can I see pics of front diff skids?

Trying to think of ways to protect my diff. It got beat to crap the other day, and I was being gentile. It's an '84, so it has the factory straight axle.

Try Trail Gear, Marlin Crawler, Sky Mfg. or All Pro Off Road. They all have several types.

Sweet! Thank you! Now is there anyway to remove the dents I already have, just to keep it a lil safer?

As for removing dents, you could pull the third and hammer them out from the inside.
As for protection, get an 8" steel pipe cap. I think it is technically called an 8" butt weld pipe cap or something like that. You cut it in half, notch the bottom for drainage and weld it over the lower half of your diff. I think the cap itself costs $30 and since you cut it in half, it will do both diffs, can't beat that price. Also, it is AT LEAST 1/4" thick, if you manage to bend it, you probably also snapped your axle in half. I did it on mine, it was cheap, it works great, and it is stronger than most diff armor out there.
I don't think I have a pic of mine handy, but here are some other peoples:

Like that guy said, take the 3rd out and tap them out with a brass bar. That is what I did on the 83 houseing I have and they are all gone.

You should also put a drain hole at the bottom so mud and water can drain out.....

8" SCH 40 pipe cap doesn't quite fit up "perfect" by any means, as I tried it, so I opted for the TG heavy duty diff armor. Seems like I saw another company just release a new one that is even cheaper than TG. Like $25 or so, but hard to be TG w/ FREE shipping over $50.

Can't see it really well in this pic and I don't have a close up but I have that same one made by allpro and I have hit rocks so hard with it that it instantly stops the truck in a dust making crunch and it doesn't have a mark.
