Budbuilt or Skid Row plates for a 2002 4Runner
So I've found these two and see that SR offer 3 pcs. Front plate, Trany skid, and T-case skid = $700 ish where as BB has front skid and a belly pan with listed prices on the front skid but no pics or price of belly skids. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I asked the same thing, no response. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/opinions-taco-skidplates-skid-row-vs-bud-built-101908/
Emailed SR. They don't offer any kind of discount for buying all 3. BB does for the two. I'm going to call BB this week and ask a few questions.

Looks like BudBuilt it is!, a very nicely finished product. He sent me a link for the belly skid check this out. And they have s buy 2 and save! where as Skid row not so much and it will end up costing more.

I have the BB front and belly skids. Both are extremely beefy. Not sure if Bud has changed his mounting design on the front skid since the big group buy. Some of them lined up fine, some didn't. Mine was the latter. Front bolt holes lined up good, the rears were not even close. Had to do some grinding on the steering rack mount to get it to fit right also. Once I got it to bolt up right, it works very well. Belly skid went on without an issue.

Does the BB belly skid mount up to the existing cross member on a 4Runner? I'm confused - why do they offer a Taco crossmember... does the Taco not have one there?

Wheel with the guy (and you will if you make it to SE4RJ!) and see his products and you will be sold... I'll be going BB soon and will most likely be getting both. I'll be sure and post plenty of pics/info!

Yeah, I was pretty impressed with Bud's set up at last year's jambo. Really great guy too. I would definately go BB as well.
Austin, did you sell the Excursion? When did you get the 4Runner?

Bud's product is definately the way to go. I had a set of the full belly skids on my 994Runner and will have his Dual Case Skid here pretty soon in my new trail rig. Hes a great guy that will stand behind his product (not that you will ever have a problem with them). Its nice to be able to drive 45 min and be at his shop.

My BB skids are on the way, don't know that I have the cajones for zebra though. Maybe a rising sun instead... haha... my tribute to 80's hair metal.
