Hey guys I've got a question. I just picked up this crossmember/skidplate and the install seems pretty straight forward but it came with this rubber bumpstop looking piece that I cannot for the life of me figure where it goes. I noticed that the front three bolt holes on the skid don't really have anywhere to mount so I'm thinking maybe it goes there off the from third member? It seems like if I got the rest of his front skid stuff they might bolt to the belly plate but that's a down the road purchase.

Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have an auto or manual? The rubber piece just sits against the bellhousing on the manual trans.

Auto, that makes sense. But I still cant figure out where the front of the skid needs to bolt up. Its like open air, can fab a bracket if I need to.

That looks like the right crossmember. The manual and auto use the same crossmember. I think you need a bracket from budbuilt to connect the front of the crossmember. I think the bracket is supposed to bolt on at the front of the transmission pan? I'm not completely sure how the auto crossmember attaches. You should contact budbuilt.

You should have a idea by holding or clamping this in place.

Then looking just what is above the holes you have make your bracket your good to go.

Then Bud Built might have a bracket that is far cheaper to buy then spend the timing designing and building one.

Contacted Bud and he cleared it up for me. The bumper goes in one of the three holes and transfers impact to the bellhousing. Sometimes I can be a little dumb...

Thanks guys!
