Beginning the transformation
I'm glad to be a new a member with eveyrone out there. I have a 95 4Runner. First mod i got in mind as does everyone it seems is a lift and tires. I dont want anything that won't work well with other stock components. I'm lookin at a mild lift with nothin larger than 32x11.5's. The question is what to do for a lift? I'm thinking the HD Downey coils in back and a possible 1" spacer on top of those. Of course i want the truck to be level so what can i do to the front. I am anti for twisting the T-bars. So im not sure what to do up front for maybe 1-2 inch of lift. What do you guys think?
Also tire wise....
either -pro comp MT or BFG MT ???? ahh the choices.....

Welcome ot the board.
You could fit 32s in the rear alone with just the Downey coils, as I have them and have 31s all around, and plenty of room.
Not sure if you'd rub though, buy many on the forum here just have the HD coils out back and run 32s fine.
As far as the front, why are you against a mild crank?
As soon as I put the HDs on in the back, I went to the tire store and had the T bars cranked to about 14.50" to 14.75" to raise the front up.
Yes it will ride a tad stiffer, but not to bad.
With the crank up front I also have room to run 32s if I wanted too.
Here's a few pics of the 31s with the HDs out back and SAW 25mm T bars cranked up front.

I'd like to run 32s, but I'm not even geared for the 31s, and it would be to much of a dog with the automatic.
There is also another way to raise the front, I think it's ball joint spacers, I am not sure.
There has been talk on here as of late on doing this over a T bar crank.
Someone may come up with the link for you.

You've got the rear figured out. For the front, try this:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f31/balljoint-spacer-install-impressions-etc-29218/
Other than that, there's no other way to lift the suspension without either cranking the torsion bars or getting a lift kit.
The spacers will fit 32x11.5's easy.
As for tires, I'd personally go with BFG. Not many people have been happy with ProComp.

Thanks
I think i got my mind made up on the lift. I've got a friend who lifted his toy by doing the t-bars so ill get his help on that. But since ill have a few extra inches all around what about the shocks? do i need new ones? i have read lots of positives about the bilstein 5150's. so im leaning on those for now.
kinda off-topic here.....whats up with the headers on the 95 4Runner? they suck from what i can tell. what kits are out there for those cast iron or whatever they are made from twists of restriction?

From what I have read here and on other forums, headers on the 3.0 V6 hardly make a difference.
Many like myself go with a 2.25" tubing setup from the cat back into a nice muffler.
To hear some different mufflers on the 3.0 and 3.6 V6, visit my website and look for the Exhaust link.
I think it's also in my sig above.
Stock length shocks are fine, unless you go with the 1.5" spacer puck that is an addtion to the Downey coils.
I run stock length Edelbrock shocks just fine with my 2" lift.
