Any thoughts on using these Bazooka speaker mounts for putting a Hi-Lift on some tubing? Maybe the right wingnut and some big washers and we'd be in business.




They look a lot nicer than the purpose-built products I've found.

 

Woot's got the stainless steel version on sale for $30 right now. I might order a pair and see how it works.

I'm trying to find some measurements, these may be WAY too small to support a Hi-Lift... So I may be way off the mark here, but they support some pretty big speakers and look like they clamp tight.

Did the bazooka mounts work?

 

I haven't ordered them yet. Between a winch and ball joints, my 4Runner fund is a bit drained this month. Maybe next month.
