ARB or Gears?

I'm picking up my first Toyota Monday after 10 years of wheeling jeeps. Its a 92 shortbed. I'll be driving it on the street some. Not every day, but some longer trips a couple times a year, plus running errands and stuff in town. I want to either put an aussie locker in the rear, and 4.7 gears in the t-case. Or put an ARB in the rear, or maybe a toyota electric locker in the rear, and skip the gears for now. It has good 32" MT's on it right now that I will leave for awhile. Either option will cost about the same. I had dual detroits in the last two rigs, and I hated them on the street. Thanks

ARB is the only way to go if you can afford it. Here is a special group buy I did awhile ago but I will still honor the offer.

go with the aussie and the 4.7 gearset. you said its not your daily, so there really is no reason to do the ARB. lunchbox lockers are easily streetable and they have the same performance off road. the 4.7 gearset and the aussie will do more for you off road than the ARB alone.
