All pro vs Marlin steering arms

I am getting a set of steering arms for my FJ to do the spring over. I am considering the all pro and marlin arms. I have only had experance with 4x4labs, marlins and the ones my boss used to make. the 4x4labs ones i dont like cause I am running stock springs and the tie rod tends to get crushed at full stuff. And marlins are pretty stubby, they tend to put the tie rod a little to close to the spring packs. So i should ask, are there any size diferences between marlin and all pro?

Marlin all the way. Much better product, IMHO. I've seen both up close, run two sets of AP's and would definitely go Marlin. Buy the 6-stud version and consider the knuckles in the future.

Does the tie rod run as close to the spring w/an all pro setup?

Not sure what you mean... Spring pack thickness must always be considered.

I just hate the cast AP arms. I'll replace w/ Marlin's 6-stud once funds allow.

My AP cast arms that came w/ my lift kit wouldn't fit. I switched to the Marlin steering arms and will go to the 6 stud arms/knuckles if I break something relative.

Marlin for the steering arms...definitely.

you have to have at least 4" of lift for a high steer to work. (clear the springs) I am running AP arms right now and trying to break them so I can put the Marlin ones on. Much, MUCH better product.

I disagree with this; on a SFA frame, you can get away with 2" of lift, 3/4" drivetrain lift (so tie rod clears oil pan) and a reversed taper pitman arm on a properly positioned steering box. Trust me - I've seen it done and done well.
