? about Marlin Sliders

I came across this today and was wonder if its worth the price. http://www.marlincrawler.com/armor.html

Heavy Duty Rock Sliders
Rock Sliders feature 1 3/4" X .120 tubing
SALE PRICE - 58" SIZE, NOW ONLY $99 / Pair

any opinions on this, are they worth the $99 or should i just find something else.

I have no idea that why im asking about them. I was going to make a set of sliders for myself, but for $99 its easier to just buy those ones.

They had a few extra 58" models so they're blowing them out. Anything that comes from Marlin is going to be top quality backed by unbeatable customer service. I doubt you'll see anything for less that's better quality than a Marlin product. $99 is a steal and I'd grab a set, they're just too short for my longbed. FYI the 58" models are for reg cab short bed trucks and 4Runners -

Check out reviews of all Marlin products on their forum page - Marlin Crawler products and reviews

Okay, simple math lesson and steel prices

58" long main rail and then add another 58" for the outrigger...so that is 116" for one slider plus (6) 6" legs plus (3) 4" braces...

116" + 36" + 12" for ONE slider...so that is 164" for ONE slider total carbon steel tubing or 13'-8"

Figure you are going to have TWO sliders so that is 27'4".

You price steel lately...try about $3.50 a foot for DOM, a little less for HREW depending on thickness...so we'll say $3.00 a foot for figuring and you got $90 worth of steel w/ no bending, welding or labor included.

Heck yeah $99 is a steal.

I would recommend a Hi-Lift and a slider adapter for your Hi-Lift if I do say so myself!

yup buy em...I pay ~$70 for steel at a discounted cost for one set of sliders, so you're looking at $29 for wire, gas, grinding/prep wheels, and labor...its a steal
