A340F - Breather?

Hey folks,

Need a quicky answer - as I'm heading out camping/wheeling in a few hours- and it dawned on me, got the diff breathers done - but not the transmission...

Is there a breather on the A340F? Maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing it... Where is it and what do I need to extend it?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

IIRC, it's way on top of the tranny just below the floor hump. If you get it underwater, you got bigger problems to worry about.

Its not a quick job like the diff breathers. You have to drill out the old breather and then thread the hole to put a barb for the hose to extend it.

Thanks folks,

Didn't find the transmission breather - did find the tcase breather, possibly one in the same or should there be two?

No water to be found! um... yeah... (ok so this is the only good picture - somehow I didn't collect any swamped pictures) Had water in the footwells a few times...

Off to unpack / change fluids...
