Man, read the thread, or better yet do a search for 4th gen lifting. I plan to lift my 4th gen runner and I never really worried about the CV angles, and after the first 3 responses all ??'s were answered. And you kept prodding. What do you hope to hear? All of your questions were answered! I am just as much a newbie to it all but i can say one thing, you look stupid. THERE ARE NO CLEARANCE ISSUES. If you want to do it, DO IT! I have no knowledge on the subject but if you read even half of this thread it is clear. Damn man. Rocky has one of the most built up 4th gens as anyone here yet it seems you dont believe what she is saying.

OK, i am done now. Sorry for the flaming. Seems as if there is a new form of troll.

Since the two bolts are at one end, and the pivot near the other end, with the CV somewhere in the middle, therefore would a 1" drop spacer result in say 0.5" lowering of the CV?

not sure exactly what the real net results would be on the cv since i don't have it on mine so no worries.

the thing is this.... you lower that front, then those two diff brackets will sit 1" lower. for me that's 1" of lost space under there that I don't want so it was a done deal since cv's was not an issue. my skid sits right on that bracket so lowering the bracket means lowering the skid 1" and making adjustments which is nothing i want to bother doing so,...

i know it didn't answer your question but you get the idea. if you really want exact measurements, just get a ruler and start measuring out the components. you'll figure out exactly what 1" of diff drop yields. it's not much but for some vehicles every little bit helps.. for us it's worthless.

if you really want to spend the $ then buy me a set and i'll try it for you so you can see the diff.

I told you - I ran a diff. drop, and even with 4.5" it is unnecessary. I told you - when I ran it, there were NO CLEARANCE ISSUES.

Why will you not listen to me?!

May be you don't read well enough, but there's a big difference between "preaching" and "really" knowing the stuff and explaining to newbies. But, inspite of your -ve attitude, you have been generally helpful, like doing web searches etc. Thanks.

I beg your pardon? Maybe I don't "read well enough"?? I have explained things to many new people - the issue is that when someone answers YOUR questions, you don't listen to them.

and by the way ... you think I don't know the stuff? Everything on my truck, all the work done on the suspension, has been done BY ME. I even wrote a write-up that helped a few other people do their lift installations, so don't accuse me of not knowing "the stuff".
