33'x12's

Hey, I'm new here. I'm sure this question has been answered already but if I wanted to put 33'x12' tires on my stock 91ext cab 4x4, would I need a lift as well? Or can I get around that for now?

definately search as this has been answered...but i think the consensus is that you can fit 33x10.5 w/o a lift, and 33x12.5 with bj spacers and a 2" body lift.

The great thing about the 33x10.50 is that you get all the ground clearance and almost all (some say more with our trucks) the traction of a 33x12.50 without all the extra up front expense.

For the 12.50's, you probably need new wheels as the stockers are too narrow, a lift, and (depending on your state laws) fender flares & mud flaps.

For the 10.50's, mount them on your stock wheels and bolt them on. You can do all the other stuff as desire and money allow. The ONLY downside is the severe lack of choices in this size - BFG A/T & M/T, Dunlop Radial Rover RVXT, and some SuperSwampers.

I am pretty happy with my 33x10.50-15 R.R. RVXT. They are smooth and quiet on the road, and OK off road (really good on rock, but mud is their downfall, as for all AT's).

yea. the only reason i ask is because my driverside front blew out last week and my brother in law parted out a samurai and gave me the rims for it. they're 12.50's and I dont really want to stay at 31x10.50 tires any more. I heard that 33x12.50' tires are about as big as you can get with a stock 22re engine? Since its only a minimal change in tire size, body or suspension lift?
