2nd Gen Suspension Lift Options
Okay kids heres yet another chance for you guys to help me with your opinions. We have a 1995 4-Runner, and are looking into other options for a lift. Yes I agree Total Chaos would be the bad ass option. I had the Superlift type lift on my 95 pickup and it was OK and Im looking into that for one of the options but not thrilled because mine dropped the ground clearance height. SOOOO heres what I know I can do ...
1. Use 1.5"-2.0"BJ spacers + Downey HD torsion bars + 1.5"-2.0" Coil spring spacers + 1.5' AllPro Coils.
2.Superlift 4" IFS system + 1.5"-2.0"BJ spacers + 5.5" AllPro TLC lift springs
3. Your Opinions ?

If you go with option #2, you're going to run into driveline issue. I'm using OME 860 with double cardan on the driveline. The original d-shaft cause grinding noise in the transmission. You also might need AllPro upper/lower link. The upper one is adjustable so you can change the pinion angle.

Yeah!! I was wondering if anyone would chime in and mention this, I saw something like a upper and lower link on all pro's site. But wasnt sure whay might be needed. Hmm something to think about for certain.

Continuing from your ttora thread, 3-4 inch lift on the front is too much for the CVs, it isn't a tacoma. Normally, 1-2" is all you want to go.
If you want that much lift, you have to go with a bracket lift of some kind.

I cranked the stock tbars 1" (I might go 0.5" more), FJ80 coils in the rear, trimmed the fenders and have 33x10.5 bfg muds. Plus the lockers front and rear help a little too
. If I weren't so cheap I'd get the bj spacers for a little better front flex. You can fit 33x12.5s with different wheels, I'm just too cheap to get them.
It can run Slickrock and deer valley fairly easily, norcal ttora has a pretty good website on those trails. I want a little bit more armor and mount my winch and then I'll try the rubicon.
