2 tire quick air inflate/deflate system

went to harbor freight, bought the stuff i need to make a quick air system... spent about 30 bucks for everything. i love having on board air on the truck but my knees are killing me by the time i fill the 4th tire. this will make it much easier.. i am still debating if i want to switch out the splitter for one that will allow for 4 hoses not just 2.

i need to get a pic of the clip on air chuck but it connects to the valve stem,

this is deflate mode. the male-male adapter is in the hose side to allow air to leave. you can put your finger over the hole and the gauge will tell you what your down to.

you can see the M-M adapter in this pic.. this will allow me to disconnect it from the gauge and see what the pressure is at / allow me to disconnect the air chuck from the tire without loosing pressure on the other side.

get an idea of what it looks like

all coiled up ready to go in the truck.

to inflate you connect the M-M adapter to a small hose that goes up to my air connector from the OBA.. turn OBA on and you can watch the gauge and once it get up to pressure you disconnect the blue splitter.

Looks like a nice clean setup for 2 tires.

I do like the 4-tire setup, makes sure all 4 tires get to the sam pressure airing up or don:

Having a valve on the air connection is also nice, as you can shut it off and let the tire pressures stabilize before disconnecting:

I made a similar set-up using Harbor Freight parts (except 4 tires) . . . never could get all the air chucks to stay on the valve stems, the cheapies kept popping off. worked really well otherwise though

Yes, finding tire valve chucks that work well is tricky. I like the clip-less ones best (on the right) and the euro-style (center):

The only right-angle clip-on chucks (left in image) that seem to work well are the real Plews-Edelman TrueFlate chucks.

Very clean. I too have a 4 tire setup I built. While I don't have a guage built into it, I do have a radiator type valve that allows for easy deflating. I've also found the same issue with the cheesy inflator parts from Harbor Freight.

thanks for bumping this, I am glad I wasn't the only one who had a little issue with the harbor freight clip on chucks.

Tofer if your still using these or for whoever might try this with their chucks this is what I did with mine:

If you unscrew the top off the chuck there is a flat o-ring inside of it, if you shave that down little by little making it thinner it will work without issue, but if you take too much off that o-ring, then it will leak air.
