Cool 2" lift, 33s... flex = awesome

I was out fooling around, testing the flex. I have lifted my 4runner 2". My lift consist of: (front) SDORI 1.5" Balljoint Spacers, OME shocks; (rear) OME coils and shocks. With the 33x10.50 I could go up the hill further than my 31x10.50 and 33x12.50.

Clearance is about 3/8-1/2" at ride height, 1/4-3/8" at full drop.

I see that you're using OME shocks. Do you recall what the PN on them is. I love my RS9000's, but I have yet to find anything longer that will work in the RS9000(x) line. I know of the RS5000 option, but from what I recall everyone who's had those in the past say they are a very harsh ride. Now, I don't want a 1972 Ford Country Squire, but I sure like being able to adjust them a little for rocks vs. washboard vs. highway. I guess I'll just have to adjust to the shocks instead of them adjusting to me.

Also, it's great to see that 33x10.50's will work with the stock rims. I really like the stock look and the 33.10.50's work well with them. Oh, by the way, I love my 33x10.50's. I get the clearance of a 33, the road resistance of a 10.50. They don't look as aggressive as a 12.50, but they also don't sling mud (and rocks and fresh pavement etc.) everywhere. I've got different responses when people look at my truck from "Is that stock?" to "Are those 35's?" It's not the look I'm looking for, it's the performance. That said, I'm really looking forward to getting those BJS's on my truck. I guess I better get it done first.

Thanks,
JC

aLostDawg; the OME shocks work great up front. I use pretty much all the travel in the shocks (shocks don't bottom out). OME # SUOME-N98 (front), Rear shocks work wonderful.

If I was to do it all over again... I would save my money and not of bought the 33x12.50, went straigt to the 33x10.5. Shocks are awesome, coils are perfect; doesn't ride like a caddy, or a country squire... but its smooth. I would recommend someone my set-up for a weekend warrior and a daily driver.
I had 12.50s on my 4runner, it look goofy as hell.

I ordered the coils from Rocky-Road and the shocks from 4x4connection. (side note, I will do business with 4x4connection again, excellent customer service).

What is the backspacing on your wheels? If 33x10.5's will fit on my stock steelies without rubbing when I get the BJ spacers, im all for it!

Great recipe. I just put the same setup on mine. Unforunately I went with the 33x12.5's and a sway-away 2mm t-bar. So far Iam pleased.
