1.Buckets or Bench 2. Cold Air Intake

1. Yesterday I got some bucket seats out of an 89 celica(SP?) and today I took out the bench seat out just to see if they would fit easily. Me and my Dad figures out an easy way to figure out how to mount them. I just don't know if I should go though with it, the reason being is because I got a custom seat cover that cost a good amount of money for my B-day like 2 years ago and it's in pretty good shape. If I do end up going with the buckets I probably sell the bench but I don't want to regrat selling the bench but I just would have any place to put it. So input please.

2. I've Got an 86 Pickup with a 22r and I was wondering if anyone knows of any cold air intake systems for 22r (yes I serched but didn't come up with anything that helped. I had the idea of taking a 90 degree bent intake tube from a different system and putting it on to the carb. and then bring it out across the motor to the front on the driver side. I just wanted a little more power with minor mods.

No, theres probly not any cold air intakes avalible but you could go to Kragen or any auto parts store and they sell the tube and joints and clamps and cone filters. You could just make your own.

For the most part. I ave to cut down the end of some rivots and bend and cut tab for the front and from the back I'm just making spacers and longer bolts. So it's going to be somewhat easy. I'll post pics when I can. And with the cold air intake my idea was to go to kragens but I wasn't sure if they sold just the joints, tubes and clamps or if they just sell whole kits.

By we do you mean you and your pops you speak of in above post..?
BTW: There were a bunch of other Bucket seat swaps by other members that actually posted pics in that thread, But I enjoy my bucket seats alot better then the bench that was stuck in one position and wouldn't let me keep my transfer case in low...

If you actually follow through with the bucket seat swap, even if you have to drill a new hole (or 4), you will not regret it, What you gon' sell your truck anytime soon...?

I meant Me first off, second yeah theres a lot of other threads but I searched and yours was the first one I looked at and made me think. So after I looked at the tread I went to the pick-n-pull web site and they happened to be having an all seats $12.99 sale so I thought lets go. So after looking for about an hour I found some blueish purpleish faded seats out of an 89 Celica that ,with alittle, cutting and bending should bolt right in. I should have to drill any holes, because on the inside of where the seats go there is already a hole with a nut welded on so it should be pretty easy. And I didn't mean sell my truck I ment the bench seat.

in my experience alot of those hoses do nothing to actually make ur engine run better but seeing how ur from California and probably have lots of emissions tests to deal with ull need to find a way to hook them all back up. Just my opinion but most of the time a cold air intake isnt really going to help ur performance that much so unless u can see something with ur stock system u could that would greatly improve ur airflow or keep out water and mud better then i wouldnt mess with it.

I was just thinking about the smog test so I don't know if I'm going to go though with it. I work at a Smog and Oil change place so I might ask one of the Smog Techs. and about the mud and water, I was thinking about making some sort of air box.
