Wow have you guys seen the new Tundra
Did a quick search and didn't see any recent threads on this. The Toyota website has pictures up of the new Tundra. Wow!

the front end looks like the new Dakota.
Not my favorite, but the rest of the design isn't too bad.
it usually takes me a year or so to warm up to the new designs. heck, it took almost 2 years for me to like the 4th gen 4R and now i love it. Go figure

Ah, the big grill look. Where have we seen that before?
Well, overall, you know Toyota is going to tell a lot of these. most noticeably are the smaller windows and the grill treatment. as for the grill treatment, it is a positive improvement on that stupid three silver bar grill treatment thing they have on the current Tundra. That last, lower bar always bothered me. It always looked forced and cheap...you know, a last-minute styling change.
anyways, i can only see the market share for full size trucks going towards toyota

The front grill really looks like the Dodge trucks.. but I actually think the Tundra's grill doesn't look TOO big. I like it... but I know that it'll grow on me more and more.
The only thing that might bother me is the lower girll/skid plate.. looks a little cheap, especially since it really contrasts with the grill. I don't know, may a bull bar would fix that look really quick..

Meh, looks like a Dodge to me, just like EVERY OTHER NEW TRUCK ON THE DAMN ROAD! Then again, most of the American made trucks (whether you can really call them that or not) have really all looked the same. There are subtle differences of course, such as the different grills (not much of a difference) and the different logos.

But then again, in Europe, they always get the diesels and Toyota makes a bunch of diesels over there too (see Hilux).

in new zealand they have been making toyota deisels for over 50 years.. ive seen a few of them up close and they are nice.. they only come in the landcruiser version, but they sound alot better than the dodge, ford and chevy motors.. they look cool too.

Toyota isn't putting a diesel in yet cause they haven't showed the full size version of the Tundra yet. What they are showing is still the model/size to compete with the F-150 and Titan. I'm pretty sure that when they come out with one to take on the big 3 heavy duties, they will put a diesel in it. Plus with the new 5.7 that they are going to put in there is going to tear up the competition again, just like the 4.7 did when it came out.
